Touran 1T Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Upgrade
A family MPV with a long listed window — the radio still decides.
The Touran 1T is listed for 2003–2013. That covers the original 1T1 and the later 1T3 facelift. The dash and radio surround changed during that decade. Being a Touran is not enough; the factory opening has to be the bolted RNS/RCD style. A Touran 5T (from 2015) is a different car.
Both radios include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a CANBUS decoder. They replace the factory radio. They are not add-on modules.
Why upgrade a Touran 1T?
Touran drivers live in the car. Wireless maps, family playlists and a clearer screen are the upgrade people want. A reverse-camera variant is useful with three rows and a high tailgate. You keep the sliding practicality and replace only the stereo.

Product options
These are the two existing LJ Automotive radios, not new products. RAM is working memory. More RAM generally helps the radio keep maps, music and other apps open together. We do not promise a specific speed or frame rate.
4GB RAM / 64GB
The usual middle choice. On the 7-inch radio the 4GB options include a reverse camera. On the 9-inch radio 4GB is sold with or without a camera.
6GB RAM / 128GB
The highest option we sell. Both radios include a reverse camera on the 6GB variants. Choose this if you want more working memory and storage.
USB-C versus Dual USB
On the 7-inch radio you can pick Dual USB or USB-C + USB. That is about the physical ports, not CarPlay. Phone linking is wireless on both radios.

Golf Plus and Caddy are the closest practical siblings. A later Touran 5T is not listed.
Installation considerations
- Early 1T radios can look different from a 2011 facelift unit. Send a photo if the car is older than about 2007.
- Camera cable runs in an MPV are longer than a Golf.
- The Golf Mk6 tutorial is not a Touran.
- Early 1T1 (2003–2006) radios can differ from later 1T3 facelift units. Confirm the opening with a photo.

Installing in a Touran 1T
Treat it as a radio swap and leave the heater and extra MPV switches alone. The YouTube video is a Golf Mk6. Early Touran surrounds can surprise you — if a clip does not match, stop.

Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and CANBUS
Both radios support wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. You do not need a USB cable to connect your phone.
CANBUS is included. Steering-wheel controls can work after the correct setting is selected. Factory park-distance graphics are not promised.
Reverse camera options
Not every option includes a camera. The aftermarket camera supplied with camera options is compatible with the radio it comes with.
We cannot guarantee that a factory reverse camera or parking sensors will work on the new radio. Fitting a camera may involve working with your car's wiring. If you are not confident, use a qualified mechanic or auto electrician.
Touran 1T questions
Will it fit an early 2004 Touran?
It is on the listed year range, but early radios often differ. Send a photo before you order.
Does wireless CarPlay work?
Yes, on both radios.
Should I add a reverse camera?
Choose a camera variant if you want the aftermarket camera. Factory Touran cameras are not guaranteed to reuse.
Will steering-wheel buttons work?
They can on factory-equipped cars once CANBUS is set.
Is a later Touran 5T covered?
No. This page is the 1T (2003–2013) only.
