SEAT Altea XL Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Upgrade
The long Altea, listed 2007–2013.
The Altea XL is listed for 2007–2013, a later and longer window than the standard Altea. It is the stretched 5P with more luggage space. The radios still have to match the bolted factory opening. Do not order from the short-Altea page just because the badge says Altea.
Both radios include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a CANBUS decoder. They replace the factory radio. They are not add-on modules.
Why upgrade a Altea XL 5P?
XL owners use the car like a small estate. Wireless maps and a camera variant are the useful upgrades. The cabin stays a SEAT; only the stereo changes.

Product options
These are the two existing LJ Automotive radios, not new products. RAM is working memory. More RAM generally helps the radio keep maps, music and other apps open together. We do not promise a specific speed or frame rate.
4GB RAM / 64GB
The usual middle choice. On the 7-inch radio the 4GB options include a reverse camera. On the 9-inch radio 4GB is sold with or without a camera.
6GB RAM / 128GB
The highest option we sell. Both radios include a reverse camera on the 6GB variants. Choose this if you want more working memory and storage.
USB-C versus Dual USB
On the 7-inch radio you can pick Dual USB or USB-C + USB. That is about the physical ports, not CarPlay. Phone linking is wireless on both radios.

- The longer body mainly changes camera cable length, not the radio rule.

Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and CANBUS
Both radios support wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. You do not need a USB cable to connect your phone.
CANBUS is included. Steering-wheel controls can work after the correct setting is selected. Factory sensors are not promised.
Reverse camera options
Not every option includes a camera. The aftermarket camera supplied with camera options is compatible with the radio it comes with.
We cannot guarantee that a factory reverse camera or parking sensors will work on the new radio. Fitting a camera may involve working with your car's wiring. If you are not confident, use a qualified mechanic or auto electrician.
Altea XL 5P questions
What is the difference from a normal Altea?
The XL is longer and listed 2007–2013. The standard Altea is listed 2004–2012. Use the page that matches the car.
Does wireless CarPlay work?
Yes, on both radios.
Should I add a reverse camera?
Choose a camera variant if you want the aftermarket camera. The longer tail makes it more useful.
Will steering-wheel buttons work?
They can on factory-equipped cars once CANBUS is set.
Can I install it myself?
The radio is a dash job. Use a fitter for the camera run if you are unsure.
