The entry option. On the 7-inch radio it is available with Dual USB or USB-C + USB, and it does not include a reverse camera.

A folding hardtop, not a Golf Cabriolet.
The Eos (1F, 2006β2013) is Volkswagenβs retractable hardtop, not the Mk6 Golf Cabriolet. The roof mechanism is a separate system. The radios replace the factory stereo only. If someone has already cut a double-DIN hole, this unit will not fit that opening.
Both radios include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a CANBUS decoder. They replace the factory radio. They are not add-on modules.
Eos owners bought a convertible with a proper roof. A wireless screen keeps the centre stack tidy when the top is down and gives maps for longer trips. You are not changing the roof, seats or wind-block β only the dated stereo.
These are the two existing LJ Automotive radios, not new products. RAM is working memory. More RAM generally helps the radio keep maps, music and other apps open together. We do not promise a specific speed or frame rate.
The entry option. On the 7-inch radio it is available with Dual USB or USB-C + USB, and it does not include a reverse camera.
The usual middle choice. On the 7-inch radio the 4GB options include a reverse camera. On the 9-inch radio 4GB is sold with or without a camera.
The highest option we sell. Both radios include a reverse camera on the 6GB variants. Choose this if you want more working memory and storage.
On the 7-inch radio you can pick Dual USB or USB-C + USB. That is about the physical ports, not CarPlay. Phone linking is wireless on both radios.

USB or USB-C port options. Camera included with selected 4GB and 6GB variants.

Shop 9-inch CarPlay RadioGolf Cabriolet Mk6 is a different convertible and has its own page.
CANBUS is included. Steering-wheel controls can work after the correct setting is selected. Roof-status screens from the factory radio are not promised.
Swap the radio and leave the roof alone. The YouTube video is a Golf Mk6 hatch. Eos surrounds and extra roof switches are different β do not force them.
The installation tutorial we share is a Golf Mk6 radio swap. It is not a film of a Eos, so use it only as a general overview.
Read the Installation Guide. See other installs in our customer install gallery.
LJ Automotive is rated 4.4/5 from 20 reviews on Trustpilot. We do not invent ratings or testimonials.
Both radios support wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. You do not need a USB cable to connect your phone.
CANBUS is included. Steering-wheel controls can work after the correct setting is selected. Roof-status screens from the factory radio are not promised.
Not every option includes a camera. The aftermarket camera supplied with camera options is compatible with the radio it comes with.
We cannot guarantee that a factory reverse camera or parking sensors will work on the new radio. Fitting a camera may involve working with your car's wiring. If you are not confident, use a qualified mechanic or auto electrician.
Will this affect the folding roof?
It should not, if you only remove the stereo. Do not unplug roof modules.
Is an Eos the same as a Golf Cabriolet?
No. Use this page for the Eos and the Cabriolet page for the Mk6 soft-top.
Does wireless CarPlay work?
Yes, on both radios.
Will steering-wheel buttons work?
They can on factory-equipped cars once CANBUS is set.
Is a reverse camera included?
Only on selected variants.
