Scirocco Mk3 Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Upgrade
A three-door coupe with Golf-family radio rules.
The Scirocco Mk3 (type 13) is listed for 2008–2013. It sits on the same PQ35 family as the Golf Mk6 but the dash and door cards are unique. Our chart stops at 2013 even though Sciroccos were sold later. A 2014–2017 facelift car is not automatically covered.
Both radios include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a CANBUS decoder. They replace the factory radio. They are not add-on modules.
Why upgrade a Scirocco Mk3?
Scirocco cabins are driver-focused and the factory stereo is the dated piece. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto suit a car you take on weekend roads. A 7-inch unit stays closest to the original stack; 9-inch is the louder visual change if the opening matches.

Product options
These are the two existing LJ Automotive radios, not new products. RAM is working memory. More RAM generally helps the radio keep maps, music and other apps open together. We do not promise a specific speed or frame rate.
4GB RAM / 64GB
The usual middle choice. On the 7-inch radio the 4GB options include a reverse camera. On the 9-inch radio 4GB is sold with or without a camera.
6GB RAM / 128GB
The highest option we sell. Both radios include a reverse camera on the 6GB variants. Choose this if you want more working memory and storage.
USB-C versus Dual USB
On the 7-inch radio you can pick Dual USB or USB-C + USB. That is about the physical ports, not CarPlay. Phone linking is wireless on both radios.

Installation considerations
- Listed years end in 2013. We will not mark a later Scirocco as verified here.
- The three-door body does not change the radio opening rule.
- The install video is a Golf Mk6 hatch, not a Scirocco.

Installing in a Scirocco Mk3
Remove the factory radio and connect the harness. Scirocco surrounds can differ from a Golf even in the same year. The YouTube tutorial is useful only as a general Mk6-era overview.

Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and CANBUS
Both radios support wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. You do not need a USB cable to connect your phone.
CANBUS is included. Steering-wheel controls can work after the correct setting is selected. Factory performance or boost displays from the original radio are not promised.
Reverse camera options
Not every option includes a camera. The aftermarket camera supplied with camera options is compatible with the radio it comes with.
We cannot guarantee that a factory reverse camera or parking sensors will work on the new radio. Fitting a camera may involve working with your car's wiring. If you are not confident, use a qualified mechanic or auto electrician.
