The Passat B6 (3C, 2005–2010) is the pre-facelift Passat on this list. The cabin is wider than a Golf and the climate panel sits in a different stack. A B5 Passat or a B7 is a different page. On a B6, the factory radio still has to be the bolted RNS/RCD shape shown in the photos.
Both radios include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a CANBUS decoder. They replace the factory radio. They are not add-on modules.
Why upgrade a Passat B6?
B6 Passats are motorway cars. The factory stereo is the part that makes a long drive feel old. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto put Google Maps and music on a proper screen, and a 9-inch option fills the wider Passat centre more naturally if the opening matches.

Product options
These are the two existing LJ Automotive radios, not new products. RAM is working memory. More RAM generally helps the radio keep maps, music and other apps open together. We do not promise a specific speed or frame rate.
4GB RAM / 64GB
The usual middle choice. On the 7-inch radio the 4GB options include a reverse camera. On the 9-inch radio 4GB is sold with or without a camera.
6GB RAM / 128GB
The highest option we sell. Both radios include a reverse camera on the 6GB variants. Choose this if you want more working memory and storage.
USB-C versus Dual USB
On the 7-inch radio you can pick Dual USB or USB-C + USB. That is about the physical ports, not CarPlay. Phone linking is wireless on both radios.

Installation considerations
- B6 climate and radio surrounds can vary by year and trim. Compare your stack with the product photos.
- Estate camera cable runs are longer than a saloon if you choose a camera variant.
- A later aftermarket double-DIN already in the car will not accept this unit.

Installing in a Passat B6
The job is a radio swap in a wider dash. The tutorial video is a Golf Mk6, not a Passat, so treat clip locations as different. Leave the climate panel in place unless a fitter tells you otherwise.

Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and CANBUS
Both radios support wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. You do not need a USB cable to connect your phone.
CANBUS is included. Steering-wheel controls can work after the correct Passat setting is selected. Factory parking-sensor graphics are not promised.
Reverse camera options
Not every option includes a camera. The aftermarket camera supplied with camera options is compatible with the radio it comes with.
We cannot guarantee that a factory reverse camera or parking sensors will work on the new radio. Fitting a camera may involve working with your car's wiring. If you are not confident, use a qualified mechanic or auto electrician.
Passat B6 questions
Will it fit my B6 estate?
The B6 saloon and estate are both in the 2005–2010 window. The radio opening still has to match. The estate body only changes camera cable length.
Does wireless CarPlay work?
Yes, on both radios.
Is this the same as a B7?
No. The B7 is the 2010–2013 facelift and has its own page. Do not order from the wrong generation.
Which RAM option should I choose?
4GB is the usual middle choice and adds a camera on the 7-inch radio. 6GB / 128GB is there for more working memory. 2GB is the entry option.
Will steering-wheel buttons work?
They can on factory-equipped B6s once CANBUS is set. We do not guarantee every trim.
