Passat B7 Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Upgrade
Facelift Passat, listed through 2013 only.
The Passat B7 is the 2010–2013 facelift of the 3C Passat. Our chart stops at 2013 even though some markets sold B7 cars later. If your B7 is a 2014 car, this page does not automatically apply. The radios replace a bolted factory stereo. They are not for a later glass-front touch unit.
Both radios include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a CANBUS decoder. They replace the factory radio. They are not add-on modules.
Why upgrade a Passat B7?
B7 interiors already look cleaner than a B6. The factory radio is still the weak point for wireless phones. A replacement 7-inch or 9-inch unit adds CarPlay and Android Auto without changing the rest of a comfortable motorway cabin.

Product options
These are the two existing LJ Automotive radios, not new products. RAM is working memory. More RAM generally helps the radio keep maps, music and other apps open together. We do not promise a specific speed or frame rate.
4GB RAM / 64GB
The usual middle choice. On the 7-inch radio the 4GB options include a reverse camera. On the 9-inch radio 4GB is sold with or without a camera.
6GB RAM / 128GB
The highest option we sell. Both radios include a reverse camera on the 6GB variants. Choose this if you want more working memory and storage.
USB-C versus Dual USB
On the 7-inch radio you can pick Dual USB or USB-C + USB. That is about the physical ports, not CarPlay. Phone linking is wireless on both radios.

Passat B6 and Passat CC are separate. A later B7 with a dealer-fitted screen still needs a shape check.
Installation considerations
- Our list ends in 2013. We will not mark a 2014 B7 as verified here.
- Some B7s had a different navigation unit. The opening must still match the product photos.
- The Golf Mk6 tutorial is the right era, not the right dash.

Installing in a Passat B7
Remove the factory radio and connect the harness. B7 surrounds can feel tighter than a Golf. The YouTube video is not a Passat B7. If a connector does not match, stop and send a photo.

Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and CANBUS
Both radios support wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. You do not need a USB cable to connect your phone.
CANBUS is included. Steering-wheel controls can work after the correct setting is selected. Factory driver-aid graphics from the original radio are not promised.
Reverse camera options
Not every option includes a camera. The aftermarket camera supplied with camera options is compatible with the radio it comes with.
We cannot guarantee that a factory reverse camera or parking sensors will work on the new radio. Fitting a camera may involve working with your car's wiring. If you are not confident, use a qualified mechanic or auto electrician.

My B7 is a 2014. Will it fit?

Does wireless Android Auto work?
Yes, on both radios.
Will steering-wheel buttons work?
They can on factory-equipped B7s once CANBUS is set.
Is a reverse camera included?
Only on selected variants. Estate owners often want one; it is not on the 7-inch 2GB options.
B6 or B7 — how do I tell?
B7 has the later front and tail lamps and a cleaner interior. If you are unsure, send both a front photo and a radio photo.
