2GB RAM / 64GB
The entry option. On the 7-inch radio it is available with Dual USB or USB-C + USB, and it does not include a reverse camera.
Volkswagen 2007–2013Mk1 / 5N
First-generation Tiguan only, listed to 2013.
The Tiguan on this page is the first generation (5N, 2007–2013 on our chart). It is a compact SUV with a high dash, not a Golf. The later Tiguan Mk2 (from 2016) uses a completely different interior and is not listed here. A 2014–2015 facelift 5N needs a photo check because our chart stops at 2013.
Both radios include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a CANBUS decoder. They replace the factory radio. They are not add-on modules.
Tiguan owners use the car for school runs and weekend trips. Wireless maps on a 7-inch or 9-inch screen are more useful than the original stereo, and a reverse-camera variant helps with a tall tailgate. You keep the 4Motion or two-wheel-drive running gear and replace only the radio.
These are the two existing LJ Automotive radios, not new products. RAM is working memory. More RAM generally helps the radio keep maps, music and other apps open together. We do not promise a specific speed or frame rate.
The entry option. On the 7-inch radio it is available with Dual USB or USB-C + USB, and it does not include a reverse camera.
The usual middle choice. On the 7-inch radio the 4GB options include a reverse camera. On the 9-inch radio 4GB is sold with or without a camera.
The highest option we sell. Both radios include a reverse camera on the 6GB variants. Choose this if you want more working memory and storage.
On the 7-inch radio you can pick Dual USB or USB-C + USB. That is about the physical ports, not CarPlay. Phone linking is wireless on both radios.

Shop 9-inch CarPlay RadioTiguan Allspace and Tiguan Mk2 are not on this list. Yeti and Tiguan are different cars.
CANBUS is included. Steering-wheel controls can work after the correct setting is selected. Factory park-steer or camera systems are not promised.
The radio swap is at the centre stack. Leave 4Motion and climate modules alone. If you ordered a camera, plan a tailgate cable or use an auto electrician. The YouTube video does not show a Tiguan.
The installation tutorial we share is a Golf Mk6 radio swap. It is not a film of a Tiguan, so use it only as a general overview.
Read the Installation Guide. See other installs in our customer install gallery.
LJ Automotive is rated 4.4/5 from 20 reviews on Trustpilot. We do not invent ratings or testimonials.
Both radios support wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. You do not need a USB cable to connect your phone.
CANBUS is included. Steering-wheel controls can work after the correct setting is selected. Factory park-steer or camera systems are not promised.
Not every option includes a camera. The aftermarket camera supplied with camera options is compatible with the radio it comes with.
We cannot guarantee that a factory reverse camera or parking sensors will work on the new radio. Fitting a camera may involve working with your car's wiring. If you are not confident, use a qualified mechanic or auto electrician.
Will it fit a Tiguan Mk2?
No. This page is the first-generation Tiguan (2007–2013). Mk2 cars are not listed.
Does wireless Android Auto work?
Yes, on both radios.
Should I add a reverse camera?
Choose a camera variant if you want the aftermarket camera. Factory Tiguan cameras are not guaranteed to reuse.
Will steering-wheel buttons work?
They can on factory-equipped cars once CANBUS is set.
Which RAM option should I choose?
4GB is the usual family-car pick. 6GB / 128GB is there if you want more working memory. 2GB is the lower-cost option without a 7-inch camera.
Orders dispatch within 24–48 hours with tracked delivery. Fit still depends on your factory radio, dashboard and wiring.
